Eva M. Brown

Eva M. Brown, 95, of Corydon, died Monday, June 13, 2022, at Indian Creek Healthcare Center in Corydon.  She was born December 18, 1926 in Camp Taylor, Kentucky.  She was formerly employed as a waitress at Dog-N-Suds and as a seamstress at Berlin and Sons Department Store both in Corydon, and was a member of the V.F.W. Post 2950 Ladies Auxiliary and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #2794 Ladies Auxiliary both in Corydon.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas J. Reid and Iva Mae Chamberlain Bernsen; her husband, Robert H. Brown; her granddaughter, Pamela Stepro; her brother, Thomas Reid, Jr.; and her sister, Rosa Crisp.

Survivors include her sons, Ricky Brown (Deloris) of New Albany, Indiana and Jerry Brown (Ruth) of New Salisbury, Indiana; her daughter, Tena Shawler (Phil) of Corydon; her brother, Robert Reid of Depauw, Indiana; her grandchildren, Monica Hester (Eric), Josh Brown (Bethany), and Heather Blanton (Stephen); 9 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be private at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the donor’s favorite charity.
