Ellis Franklin Bye

Ellis Franklin Bye, 87, of Corydon, Indiana, died Monday, May 13, 2024, at his home near Corydon.  He was born October 23, 1936, in Crawford County, Indiana, to the late Ralph B. and Vada Boman Porter.  He was a retired tool repair technician at Ford Motor Company in Louisville, Kentucky and a member of the Local 862 UAW. Ellis enjoyed supper-time with his family and being outdoors surrounded by God’s creation.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Marie Martin Bye; his sons, Gary Bye of Corydon, Vergil Bye of Corydon and Keven Bye of Frankfort, Kentucky; his daughter, Frances LeClere of Summitville, Indiana; four grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and numerous siblings.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Mark Arnett will officiate.  Burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery near Corydon.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. on Friday, 11:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, and after 12:00 Noon on Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Andrew LeClere, Brent LeClere, Jimmy Meyers, Billy Meyers, Cody Kelly and Curtis Kelly.
