Eldon “Jaye” Carver, 61, of Corydon, died Monday, May 2, 2022, at his home near Corydon. He was born December 21, 1960, in Corydon, to the late Elmer S. and Phyllis C. Wiseman Carver. He was formerly employed at Orscheln Farm and Home and Keller Manufacturing Company both in Corydon, and was a former bricklayer and truck driver. Jaye had the most quick witted sense of humor, he loved to fish and hunt, and was a proud member of the Old Fart’s Fishing Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Hannah Renee Carver; and his brother, Charles L. Wathen.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara R. Wyman Carver; his son, Daniel Carver (June) of Corydon; his daughter, Sunshine Wyman (Michael) of Corydon; his brothers, Elmer R. Carver of Corydon, Donald F. Carver of Tennessee, and Jeffery W. Carver of Corydon; his sisters, Virginia A. McMonigle, Patricia K. Payne, Denise Davison, and Donna J. Richard all of Corydon; and his grandchildren, Kayla Corbett, Conner Malloy, Andrea Carver, and Bradley Carver.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Donald F. Carver will officiate. Burial will be in Crossroads Cemetery near Mauckport.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Hannah’s Angels of Hope, 2115 Old Hwy 135 SW, Corydon, Indiana 47112.
Pallbearers will be Jeff Carver, Greg Carver, Elmer Carver, Daniel Carver, Jeff McDaniels, Jerry Crone, Jamie Harmon, and Billy Singleton. Honorary pallbearers will be Conner Malloy and Bradley Carver.
