Earl C. Barks, 90, of Central, died Monday, May 31, 2021, at Harrison Healthcare Center in Corydon. He was born January 2, 1931, in New Amsterdam, Indiana to the late Shelby and Mabel Jones Barks. He was a former co-owner of the Massey Ferguson dealership in Greenville, Indiana, of Barks and Finn Heavy Equipment, and Barks and Ferree Construction, was the owner of Barks Lumber sawmill and pallet business, and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Thelma L. Garmon Barks; and his brother, Arthur Barks, Sr..
Survivors include his daughter, Linda Ferree (Tom) of Central; and his grandson, Steve Ferree.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Richard Goodwin will officiate. Burial will be private in Central Cemetery in Central.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Barks, Buddy Lawrence, Tony Garmon, Andrew Edge, Scott Orme, Gary Ripperdan, Robert Tracy and Charlie Tindall
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
