Dustin Brian Farmer, 34, of Central, Indiana, was the kind of man who didn't just dream, he built. He built friendships, built a career, and he built a family. He also planted. True to his family name, Dustin was actively cultivating a family farm south of Corydon, something he had envisioned for years. It was a place where he, his wife Amber, and their three children were putting down roots and coming alive together. It was a home worthy of their own special slice of the American dream.

 

From childhood, Dustin was loved by everyone who knew him, and he returned that love in kind as a faithful friend, a devoted husband, and a dedicated father. He brought that same loyalty to his work at Samtec, where he served as Tool & Die Maker for the last five years, and to every vehicle that crossed his path. His mechanical instincts were a standing offer to friends and family in need, given freely and without hesitation. He understood cars better than many people know themselves.

 

A graduate of Corydon Central High School, Dustin excelled at enjoying every sport he tried. He became a certified journeyman toolmaker while working at Icon Manufacturing before joining Samtec. He carried his love of sports and cars from his youth all the way into adulthood, some passions simply don't fade. Dustin leaves behind a legacy of hard work, generous friendship, and a farm that will forever bear the mark of his hands and his hope.

 

He is mourned by his loving wife, Amber, their twin boys, Chase and Landon, and his five-year-old daughter, Madison. He will be missed by all who had the privilege to know him.

 

Born on August 17, 1991 in Minot, North Dakota, Dustin is also survived by both his parents and their spouses: Tracy Blackburn (Mike) and Brian Farmer (Christian). He also is going home ahead of his siblings: Ashton Blackburn and Jacob Farmer. Also mourning his loss are his grandparents: Wanda Farmer, Linda Clark and Joe Davenport. Additionally many aunts and uncles including Brian and Carla Ripperdan, Michael and Rose Chanley, many cousins (Wyatt & Brooke, Emersen, and Eden Chanley, Megan Ripperdan, Chase & Ashlie Evans, and others), and too many friends to list. He is preceded in death by his papa, Gene Lowe, and his papaw, Carl Farmer.

 

Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana.  Pastor Darren Carey will officiate.

 

Visitation will be from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

 

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the family for the future education of Dustin’s children.
