Dorris Jean Carver Stiner Wooten, 79, of Central, died Sunday, October 31, 2021, at Harrison Healthcare Center in Corydon. She was born May 21, 1942, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Charles and Bessie Blanche Noon Carver. She was formerly employed in the dietary department at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon and was a member of Mt. Zion Community Church near Mauckport.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roger Dale Wooten; her son, David Stiner; her grandchildren, Elizabeth Stiner and David Stiner, Jr.; her brother, James Carver; and her sisters, Beatrice Melton, Betty Carter and Sally Ann Carver.
Survivors include her son, Bill Stiner; her daughter Mary Jean Neal (Randy); her stepsons, Roger Wooten, Jr. (Wendy) and Benjamin Wooten; her stepdaughters, Christine Shaffer, Carla Stepro (Jerry) and Crystal Wooten (Shawn); her sister, Catherine Gleitz; her granddaughters, Katie Baumgardner, Jessie Morgan and Ariel Morgan; her great grandchildren, Jacob, Grace and Kaleb Baumgardner, Kali Crabtree, and Dylan, Daniel and Atlas Stiner; her step grandchildren, Chris Shaffer, Jackie Weddington (Craig), Justin Stepro (Bri), Toxey and Ivy Smith, and Jacob and Allie Wooten; and her step great grandchildren, Benson and Barrette Stepro, and Brentley, Braxley and Willow Weddington.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 6, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Gilbert Duley will officiate. Burial will be in Hyland Cemetery near Mauckport.
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Baumgardner, Dylan Stiner, Daniel Stiner, Roger Wooten, Jr., Ben Wooten and Shawn Bruce.
