Doris V. Shaffer, 87, of Corydon, Indiana, died Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.  She was born November 30, 1937, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Guy N. and Maymie Collins Jordan.  She was a member of the Presbyterian faith.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Daniel Wayne Shaffer; her brothers, David Milton Jordan, Charles Edward “Bud” Jordan, and John Wesley Jordan; and her sisters, Frances Ellen Jordan, Bonnie Jean Melton, Anna Louise Willard, and Mary Evelyn Coe Reynolds.

 

Survivors include her daughters, Katrina Joy Allen (Carey) and Cynthia Louise Morton; her sister, Carrolyn Sue Schmidt; and many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 15, 2024, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Donnie Whitlow will officiate.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Corydon.

 

Visitation will be after 1:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
