Donnie Lynch, 72, of Corydon, died Saturday, January 6, 2024, at his home near Corydon. He was born May 22, 1951, in Corydon, to the late Charles Edward and Anna Margaret Patterson Lynch. He was briefly employed at the Harrison County Prosecutor’s Office before retiring from the Ford Motor Company Louisville Assembly Plant after 35 years, and was a member of the UAW Local 862 in Louisville and Potato Run Church near Corydon. Donnie loved the Lord and his family, was an excellent baseball player in his younger years, and was a talented musician, having played in bands for over 30 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Amber C. Lynch; his brother, Larry E. Lynch; and his sister, Barbara Ruth Hart.
Survivors include his wife, Elaine S. Sams Lynch; his sons, Donnie Lynch, Jr. and Dustin Lynch; his daughter, Autumn Holman (Aaron) and his granddaughter, Khylan.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2024, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Norman Lasley will officiate. Burial will be in Blue River Chapel Cemetery near Corydon.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Dustin Lynch, Sean Arms, Mike Oetting, Alan Hill, Jeff Smith, Paul Robson and Raymond Lynch. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy and Chet Lynch.
