Dennis R. Harmon, 72, of Georgetown, Indiana, died Thursday, May 13, 2021, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana. He was born August 23, 1948, in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, to the late Kenneth C. and Olive Coburn Harmon. He was the owner of Harmon’s A-1 Used Appliances in Richmond, Indiana, was formerly employed as a welder and for the railroad, was a member of the Marine Corps League, the American Legion Post in La Porte, Indiana, the V.F.W. Post in Richmond, and the Baptist faith, was a ventriloquist, and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran where he was a decorated sharpshooter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Richard Edinger, Larry Harmon, Charles Harmon, Kenneth S. Harmon, Robert Harmon, Randall Harmon, Jeffrey Harmon and Timothy Harmon; and his sisters, Bonnie Moore and Gloria Jean Bowser.
Survivors include his wife, Belinda Sue Lewis Harmon; his sons, Jeffrey Harmon (Jessica) of Houston, Texas and Dylan Harmon of Georgetown; his daughters, Connie Roma (Jay) and Denise Roma (Craig) both of West Palm Beach, Florida, Katy McNamara (Larry) of Richmond, Indiana, Ashley Drake (Ryan) of Kettering, Ohio, Jennifer Ratliff (Tom) of Shelburn, Indiana and Tabitha Emily (David) of Lanesville, Indiana; his grandchildren, Travis Lawson, Nicole Roma, Holly Roma, DJ Winkler, Heather Roma, Julie Roma, Luca Harmon, Layla Harmon, Jemma Harmon, Keira Harmon, George Emily (Jenna), David Bright (Hannah Heilig), Charles Bright, Cassie Fochtman, Audrey Shannon, Hayden Drake, Ian Murray, Giovanni Drake, Ashlynn McNamara, Gavin Gross and Sarah Smith (Brent); his great grandchildren, Bryson, Bentley, Banik, Lily, Mason, Marci, Allison, Reed, Kane, Ethan, Holden and Nora; his brothers, John and Terry Harmon both of La Porte, Monty Harmon of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Alvin Jones of Richmond; his sister, Connie Harmon of La Porte; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Pastor Donnie Lewis will officiate.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
