Deborah “Debbie” Wallace, 76, of Georgetown, Indiana, died Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.  She was born September 23, 1949, in New Albany, to the late Leroy and Ruth Faith Akers.  She was a co-owner, with her husband Jack, of Rinehart Sign Company in Louisville, Kentucky, was currently employed as a cashier at the Goodwill Store at Highlander Point, and especially loved her animals.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Justin Wallace; her brothers, Lee, Roy, Mike and Don Akers; and her brother-in-law, Darrell Bussabarger.

 

Survivors include her husband, Jack Wallace; her son, Erik Wallace (Misse); her twin brother, Dennis “Pete” Akers (Carolyn); her sister, Beverly Bussabarger; and was “Nina” to her granddaughter, Cheyenne Alcorn (Wade); and her great grandson, Easton Alcorn.

 

Funeral services will be private at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
