David Andrew Baker, 70, of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Mauckport, Indiana, died Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.  He was born August 31, 1955, in Harlan, Kentucky, to the late Frank and Freda Young Baker.  He was a proud U.S. Marine veteran, a former police officer, and union painter. David enjoyed many things in life such as being a drummer and singer for the band The Baker Boyz, an avid Chicago Cubs fan, and being a good steward of the land as a chestnut tree farmer. He will be remembered as a loving and hardworking provider for his family.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Clifford Baker; and his sisters, Vandetta Stewart, Phyllis Madewell and Carol.

 

Survivors include his wife, Lenore Sue Foetisch Baker; his sons, Matthew (Anne-Marie), Joshua (Terri) and Jeremiah (Fatima) Baker; his daughter, Tina Marie Love (Alex); his grandchildren, Blane, James, Todd, Valentina, Aeralyn, Orion, Oliva, Stella, and one on the way; and his sisters, Diana King and Alice Norris.

 

A Memorial Service will be scheduled and hosted by the family at a later date.  Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
