Claude "Sarge" Powell

Claude “Sarge” Powell, 60, of Corydon, died Monday, December 21, 2020, at his home near Corydon.  He was born November 13, 1960, in Corydon, to the late William H. Powell, Jr. and Eleanora Bonneau Powell.  He was employed at Walmart in Corydon for 20 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Cathy T. Allen Powell; and his brothers, John Powell and William H. Powell, III.

Survivors include his sons, Matthew Powell of Louisville and Corey Powell of Corydon; his daughter, Kayla Haas (Daniel) of Corydon; and his grandchildren, Kara and Adalyn.

There will be a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Donnie Whitlow will officiate. 

Visitation will be after 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
