Charles "Willie" Gudgeon

Charles “Willie” Gudgeon, 70, of Corydon, died Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at Indian Creek Healthcare Center in Corydon.  He was born September 22, 1949, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Hiram Jacob and Maudie Dell Humphrey Gudgeon.  He was retired from Tyson Foods in Corydon and was a U.S. Marine veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, Scott Gudgeon.

Survivors include his wife, Debra S. Elder-Gudgeon; his son, Joseph Gudgeon of Jeffersonville, Indiana; his daughter, Kim Watts-Gudgeon of New Albany, Indiana; his step daughter, Tammi Sherrard of New Salisbury, Indiana; his brothers, Hiram “Butch”, Ray and Jerry Gudgeon; his sisters, Phyllis Mattingly, Virginia Golden and Linda Shewmaker; and his grandchildren, Ashlyn, Savannah, Jordan, Alexis and Hailey.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 11, 2019, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. John Gage will officiate.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Tony Sherrard, Dean Comer, Will Stockings, Mark Gibson and Richard Ewing.
