Charles R. “Chuck” Arnold, 72, of Corydon, died Saturday, February 6, 2021, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born May 9, 1948, in Corydon, to the late Robert Woodrow and Loretta Gayle Scheler Arnold. He was a retired chemical operator at BF Goodrich/Zeon Chemicals in Louisville, was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church near Lanesville, and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. Chuck was member of the Blackhorse Association during and after his time in the army, and loved spending time with his friends at Wednesday evening meetings at the Pekin Garage.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Wanda J. Wright.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Faye Schoen Arnold; his son, Clayton R. Arnold (Ellie) of Corydon; his daughter, Erin M. Breeden (Mike) of Corydon; and his grandchildren, Lane, Peyton and Isaiah Breeden.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2021, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lanesville. Pastor Ronald Richeson will officiate. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Lanesville.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Friday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Pallbearers will be Lane and Peyton Breeden, Marvin, Tim and Raymond Schoen, Herb and Glenn Schneider, and Floyd Tuttle.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
