Cathy T. Powell

Cathy T. Powell, 58, of Mauckport, died Friday, September 25, 2020, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.  She was born February 27, 1962 in Corydon, Indiana.  She was employed as an Anesthesia Tech at Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville and was a former 4-H junior leader.  Cathy loved to attend church, she was raised in the catholic faith and most recently attended First Capital Christian Church in Corydon.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard “Pat” Allen.

Survivors include her husband, Claude Powell; her mother, Jean Spalding Allen of Crandall, Indiana; her sons, Matthew Powell of Louisville and Corey Powell of Corydon; her daughter, Kayla Haas (Daniel) of Corydon; her granddaughters, Kara and Adalyn; her brothers, Ray Allen (Karen) of Corydon, John Allen (Michelle) of Leavenworth, Indiana, and Tony Allen of Corydon; and her sister, Diane Gravitt (Gary) of Georgetown, Indiana.

There will be a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Donnie Whitlow will officiate.

Visitation will be after 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
