Carrie “Rose” Rogers, 95, of Lanesville, died Friday, September 24, 2021, at Harrison Springs Health Campus in Corydon. She was born January 12, 1926 in Louisville, Kentucky. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Enos “Mike” Huff and Anna Evelyn Cooper Huff; her step mother, Elizabeth Stowers Huff; her husband, George William Rogers, Sr.; her son, David Rogers; and her daughters, Dianna Ferguson and Karen Phelps.
Survivors include her sons, George Rogers (Jamie) of Lanesville, Mike Rogers (Elaine) of Corbin, Kentucky, Tom Rogers (Cheryl) of Georgetown, Indiana, Rob Rogers (Linda) of Palmyra, Indiana, John Rogers (Nancy) of Georgetown, Jim Rogers (Rose Marie) of Corydon, Indiana, and Joe Rogers (Millie) of Georgetown; her daughter, Kathy Blackman (Chris) of Corydon; and many loving grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Father Robert St. Martin will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Lanesville.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
There will be a vigil prayer service at 3:00 p.m. Monday, September 27, 2021, at the funeral home.
