Carolyn June Hughes, 79, of Corydon, died Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Indian Creek Healthcare Center in Corydon. She was born March 31, 1942, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Gene William and Velma Lorrene Pylant Nations. She was formerly employed at the Singer Sewing Machine Store in Corydon and was a member of the Georgetown Nazarene Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, James Thomas Nations.
Survivors include her husband, Joseph Donald “Don” Hughes; her sons, Paul Gregory Hughes, Glenn Edward Hughes (Rebecca), and Donald Ray Hughes (Carol); her brother, Eugene Wayne ”Sonny” Nations; her sisters, Sharon Lorraine Wilson, and Ladonna Marie Nations; and her grandchildren, Brandon, Haley, and Skylar Hughes.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 29, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Don Walker will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Paul, Glenn, Donnie and Brandon Hughes.
