Carolyn Ann Straub

Carolyn Ann Straub, 85, of Corydon, died Monday, September 26, 2022, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.  She was born August 19, 1937, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Benjamin and Charlotte Wright Shireman.  She was a member of the White Cross Church of New Middletown and the V.F.W. Post 2950 Ladies Auxiliary in Corydon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph L. Straub; her daughter, Donna Sue “Susie” Rosbottom; and her brother, Calvin Shireman.

Survivors include her sons, Ricky Joe Straub of Clarksville, Indiana and Michael E. Straub (Reba) of Corydon; her daughters, Elizabeth Chambers (Steve) and Vicki Bachman (Steve) both of Corydon; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Steve McAfee will officiate.  Burial will be in the White Cross Church of New Middletown Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the White Cross of New Middletown Church.

Pallbearers will be Steven Chambers, Chris Chambers, Shannon Straub, Brandon Rosbottom, Brian Rosbottom, and Zack Rosbottom.
