Carl A. Hertle, Jr.

Carl A. Hertle, Jr., 84, of Elizabeth, died Monday, October 5, 2020, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.  He was born February 26, 1936, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late Carl A. Hertle, Sr. and Alice "Ruth" Sonner Hertle.  He was a union electrician and a member of the IBEW Local #369 in Louisville, was a member of the Pisgah Masonic Lodge #32 F&AM in Corydon, and was a former Boy Scout leader.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Janice M. Crawley Hertle.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn Hammer Hertle; his sons, Randy A. Hertle (Jodi), Mark E. Hertle (Elizabeth) and Brian W. Hertle (Rebecca); his daughters, Lisa M. Simpson and Denise K. Sutherland (Jamie); his grandchildren, Randall Hertle, Bradley Hertle, Josh Hertle, Alicia Hertle, Zachary Goodwin, Marie Goodwin, Lucas Hertle, Aubrey Hertle and Olivia Hertle; and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2020, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Donnie Allen will officiate.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday and after 11:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

There will be Masonic rites at 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Randall, Bradley, Josh, and Lucas Hertle, Zachary Goodwin and Dylan Patterson.
