Brenda Sue Baker, 82, of Corydon, Indiana, died Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.  She was born June 19, 1941, in Louisville, to the late Lowell Kent and Audrey Jewell Kay Motsinger.  She was member and Sunday school teacher at Corydon Church of Christ, worked in the cafeteria at Corydon Elementary School and at Wal-Mart in Corydon, and loved camping with her family.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence L. Baker; her grandsons, Lee Baker and Jamie Timberlake; her sister, Barbara Ashabraner; and her son in law, Jim Timberlake.

 

Survivors include her sons, Larry W. Baker (JoAnn) of Lanesville, Indiana and Jerry A. Baker (Gwen) of Palmyra, Indiana; her daughters, Sherri L. Timberlake of Corydon and Terri Ann Wilson (Dennis) of Sycamore, Ohio; her grandchildren, Carrie Simler (Jason), Curtis Riddle (Dawn), Jeremy Baker (Brittany), Reba Tinnell (Michael), Daniel Wise (Jenny), Jenna Walston (Brett), John Timberlake (Baylie), Ashley Haugh (Mitch), Amber Adkins (Issac), Megan Wilson and Rachel Wilson; her great grandchildren, Ava and Carson Simler, Austin and Chloe Riddle, JoAnn, Weston and Colton Baker, Noah Childers, Nevaeh Tinnell, Ryan, Taylor, Logan and Lexi Walston, Jackson and Emmett Haugh, Cora and Boden Adkins and Rose and Maisie Timberlake; and her sister, Mariann McKenzie of Cave City, Arkansas.

 

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m.Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at Corydon Church of Christ in Corydon.  Marvin Purkhiser will officiate.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

 

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at her church.

 

Pallbearers will be Jason Simler, Curtis Riddle, Jeremy Baker, Daniel Wise, John Timberlake and Mitch Haugh.
