Bonnie McCullum Stevens, 85, of Hammond, Indiana, formerly of Corydon, Indiana, died Saturday, July 27, 2024, at her home with her son and daughter by her side.  She was born July 25, 1939, in Corydon, to the late Ruel Edward and Mina Myrtle Heishman McCullum.  She was married to Nelson Stevens on August 14, 1959 for almost 60 years.  She babysat many kids through the years, was a big fan of the Chicago Cubs and enjoyed bingo and visiting family in Corydon.

 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson Stevens; her parents; her son in law, Robert Ralph; her sister and her sister’s husband, Janice and Keith Yeager; her sister-in-law, Geraldine McCullum; and her brother-in-law, Paul Mathis.

 

Survivors include her son, Donald Stevens; her daughter, Karen Ralph; her brothers, Clarence McCullum (Carol) and Robert McCullum; her sister, Sharon Mathis; her grandchildren, Kristin Mathias (Nick), Anthony Ralph, Kelly Ralph and Sara Stevens; and many great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services will be at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2024, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Jerry Bryant will officiate.  Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery near Laconia, Indiana.

 

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

 

Pallbearers will be Anthony Ralph, Nicholas Mathias, Sheldon Dennison, Jeff Pease, Michael McCullum and Paul Leon Mathis, Jr.

 

The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be made to Smith Campground Church or Rehoboth Cemetery.
