Bonnie L. Saulman, 90, of Corydon, died Monday, June 7, 2021, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana. She was born April 6, 1931, in New Albany, to the late James Melvin and Ethelda Rhoads Orme. She was a member of Heidelberg United Methodist Church near Corydon, the Heidelberg United Methodist Women, and the Pythian Sisters, and was an “Honor Roll Member” of the National WWII Museum.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Lee “Ossie” Saulman; and her brothers, Larry, Dennis and Jann Orme.
Survivors include her daughters, Patricia Ann Toler (Owen) of Corydon, Joyce E. Smith (Sonny) of Louisville, Kentucky and Donna Leigh Rose (Jake) of Corydon; her brothers, Donald Orme (Rowena) of Elizabeth, Indiana, Gary Orme (Dianna) of Corydon and Randy Orme (Bonnie) of Central, Indiana; her sister, Patty Swallows of New Salisbury, Indiana; her brother-in-law, Gerald Saulman (Martha) of Corydon; her sisters-in-law, Olivia and Leota Orme both of Corydon and Nancy Orme of Indianapolis, Indiana; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Dennis Aud will officiate. Burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery near Corydon.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Chris Schneider, Mark Toler, Gerrad Hall, Tyler Pentecost, Steve Dishman and Jerry Saulman.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to WHAS Crusade for Children or Heidelberg Cemetery Fund.
