Billy "Steve" Byrd

Billy Steven “Steve” Byrd, 65, of Corydon, died Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at his home near Corydon.  He was born July 31, 1957 in Evansville, Indiana.  He was retired from the Ford Motor Company Louisville Assembly Plant, was a member of the UAW Local 862 in Louisville and West Maple Baptist Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana, was an avid IU basketball fan, loved golfing, and was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Byrd.

Survivors include his wife, Marla Kay Saylor Byrd; his mother, Irene Powell Corlett; his step mother, Janet Byrd; his sons, Anthony Byrd (Rose), Christopher Byrd (Tessa), and Matthew Byrd (Christina); his daughters, Aryn Aranda, Angela Denbo (Jason), and Amy Roser; his brothers, David, Dennis and Kelly; his sisters, Diana, Darlene, Tracey, Sandy and Krista; 15 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
