Betty Jo Fisher

Betty Jo Fisher, 89, of Corydon, died Monday, August 1, 2022, at The Villas of Guerin Woods in Georgetown, Indiana.  She was born August 12, 1932, in Jellico, Tennessee, to the late Sampson and Nora Buckner Douglas.  She was formerly employed as a hospice worker, caregiver and in retail sales, and was a member of the Mauckport United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of over 40 years, Charles E. “Bill” Lewis; and 16 siblings.

Survivors include her husband, Clinton R. Fisher; her sons, Charles R. Lewis (Kathy) of Greenville, Indiana, Sampson E. Lewis (Karen) of Louisville, Kentucky, and James D. Lewis (Lisa) of Lafayette, Tennessee; her daughter, Belinda S. Harmon of Corydon; and many loving grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Jerry Shelley will officiate.

Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Mauckport United Methodist Church.
