Benjamin Wayne Mizell, 47, of Laconia, Indiana, died Monday, February 17, 2025, near Mauckport, Indiana.  He was born March 15, 1977, in New Albany, Indiana.  He was employed as a plant manager at Mulzer Crushed Stone – New Amsterdam Quarry.  Ben dearly loved his family and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, Gary Wayne Mizell.

 

Survivors include his mother, Sharon K. Seymour Mizell; his wife, Denisa L. Smith Mizell; his son, Michael Wayne Mizell; his daughter, Kathern Marie Mizell (Matt Geary); his stepson, Zachary Strong; his stepdaughter, Caitlyn DeWilde; his granddaughter, Amora Jo Geary; and his sister Elizabeth Anne Mizell (Peter Akey).

 

The family will announce a Celebration of Life at a later date.
