Barry L. Whitehouse, 75, of Corydon, Indiana, died Friday, October 24, 2025, at his home near Corydon. He was born January 28, 1950, in Stanford, Kentucky, to the late Frank Marion Whitehouse and Edith Irene Anglin Whitehouse. He was a retired machinist at Phillip Morris in Louisville, Kentucky, was the owner of Whitehouse Horseshoeing in Corydon, was a security officer at O’Bannon Woods State Park near Corydon, was a 32nd degree Mason with the Clark Lodge #40 F&AM in Jeffersonville, Indiana, was a member of the Valley of Indianapolis Scottish Rite, the V.F.W. Post 2950 in Corydon, the Floyd County Sheriff’s Posse where he would ride during the Harvest Homecoming, the Blue River Saddle Club, the Old Capitol Saddle Club, and the Phillip Morris Saddle Club, was of the Baptist faith, and was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Paul Whitehouse.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Leona M. “Cissy” Hall Whitehouse; his sons, Adam Whitehouse, Tony Whitehouse (Tammy), Timothy Cortie (Rhonda) and Michael Cortie (Jennifer); his daughter, Lorie Matthews; his grandchildren, Chaselynn, Brandon, Brianna, Jake, Charlie, Timmy, Alexis and Dakota; his great grandson, Jensen; his brother, Frank Marion Whitehouse, Jr.; his sisters, Andrea White (Royce), Kay Hutt (Steve), Janet Hendrickson and Jonene Storms (Ronnie); and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services with masonic rites will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Adam Whitehouse, Tony Whitehouse, Tim Cortie, Charlie Cortie, Jessy Geary, Tony Geary, Sr., Jake Matthews and Brendon Whitehouse.
