Barbara E. Barnes

Barbara E. Barnes, 70, of Lanesville, died Monday, May 31, 2021, at her home near Lanesville.  She was born February 4, 1951, in Erie, Pennsylvania, to the late Bernard and Lula Hall Gee.  She was formerly employed as a teller at First Savings Bank in Lanesville and attended Shiloh Pilgrim Holiness Church near Corydon.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Arlene Carpenter; and her brother, David Gee.

Survivors include her husband, William D. Barnes, Sr.; her son, William D. Barnes, Jr. of Corydon; her daughter, Karen Barnes of Lanesville; her grandchildren, Jeffrey Burton, Abigail Burton, Khloe Barnes, and Kyah Barnes; her brothers, Al, Jerry, Bill and George Gee; and her sister, Pearl Brand.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Tim Stuart and Rev. Mark Arnett will officiate.  Burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery near Corydon.

Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday and after 10:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Burton, Billy Barnes, Mark Barnes, Tom Barnes, Aaron Wiseman and Chris Sillings.
