Athena D. Walls, 29, of Corydon, died Saturday, October 30, 2021, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville. She was born October 26, 1992 in Salem, Indiana. She loved photography and was the owner and operator of Happily Walls Photography, was the owner, with her husband, Austin, of Sunkissed Tanning in Corydon, was an agent for Banker’s Life Insurance Company, was formerly employed at the Norton’s Pediatric office in Jeffersonville, Indiana and at Walgreen’s Take Care Clinic in Corydon, and was a volunteer at the St. Joseph Catholic Church School in Corydon.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Calvin and Linda Voyles.
Survivors include her husband, Austin Walls; her daughter, Brooklynn Walls; her mother, Cathy Lawson of Corydon; her father, Scott Voyles of Ramsey, Indiana; her grandparents, Bobby and Ella Lawson of Austin, Indiana; and her brother, Carl McIntosh (Brentney) of Palmyra, Indiana.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Mike McCarty will officiate. Burial will be in Central Barren Cemetery near New Salisbury, Indiana.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 9:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Carl McIntosh, Jeremy Cox, Mike Voyles, Nathan Luallen, Cody Lewis, and Robert Wilson.
