Amy P. Sloan, 87, of Hardinsburg, Kentucky, died Saturday, July 8, 2023, at her home in Evansville, Indiana, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 29, 1936, in Hardinsburg, to the late John M. Williams and Eva A. Poole Williams.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 49 years, Arthur Garland Sloan, Jr.; her grandchildren, Deidre Whitten, Jamie Sloan, and the Hill twins; her son in law, Vaughn Timberlake; her brothers, Wilbur, Lonnie, W.R., Andrew, and Peyton Williams; and her sisters, Donnie Miller, Jane Chancellor, Aurelia Brinegar, Evelyn Jarboe, and Ernestine Mattingly.
Survivors include her sons, Bobby Mattingly (Bonnie) of Manilla, Indiana and William Sloan (Linda) of Louisa, Kentucky; her daughters, Linda Timberlake of Port Charlotte, Florida and Janice Hill (Bruce) of Louisville, Kentucky; 17 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 6:00 p.m. (EST) Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. (CST) Monday, July 17, 2023, at Ivy Hill Cemetery in Hardinsburg, Kentucky. Rev. DeWayne Brewer will officiate.
Visitation will be after 2:00 p.m. (EST) Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Bruce Hill, Chris Hill, Josh Hill, Riley Hill, Ben Timberlake, and Ryan Robison.
