Adelle (Lillpop) Rhodes

Adelle Lillpop Rhodes, 93, of Corydon, died Friday, May 19, 2023, at her home in Corydon.  She was born June 21, 1929, in Lanesville, Indiana, to the late John and Eleanor Bell Lillpop.  She was a homemaker, was a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church near Corydon, and loved gardening. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 67 years, Clarence Rhodes, Jr.; and her son in law, Alan Jones.

Survivors include her sons, David A. Rhodes (Sonya) of Corydon and John Rhodes (Sharon) of Georgetown, Indiana; her daughters, Karen Jones of Palmyra, Indiana and Andrea Phillips (Charles) of Corydon; her brother, Dick Lillpop of Corydon; her sisters, Rita Schaffer of Corydon and Judy Danner (Weldon) of Corydon; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Jim Higdon will officiate.  Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Corydon.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 9:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jason Jones, Kevin Jones, Adam Phillips, Matt Phillips, Matt Brunner, and Matt Weathers.
