William R. "Billy" Shields

William R. “Billy” Shields, 83, of Madison, Indiana, died Thursday, November 15, 2018, at King’s Daughters Health Hospital in Madison.  He was born May 24, 1935, in Laconia, Indiana, to the late Loran Maurice “Tommy” and Martha Best Shields.  He enjoyed watching television and was an avid University of Kentucky basketball fan.

Survivors include his sisters, Betty Withers (Henry) of Laconia, and Myrna Cunningham (Gary) of Floyds Knobs along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Tony Alstott will officiate.  Burial will be in Rehoboth Cemetery in Laconia.

Visitation will be 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. Monday, and after 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Scott Byrum, Todd Cunningham, Farrell Duley, Buck Faith, Hank Withers and Tom Withers
