Thearon V. "Woody" Wood

Thearon V. “Woody” Wood, 90, died Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.  He was born April 21, 1929, in St. Charles, Missouri, to the late James and Josephine Newman Wood.  He was a retired truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Nancy Ella Reeves Wood; his sons, Jeffrey and Christopher Wood; and his daughter, Mary Bea Wood.

Survivors include his children, David Wood (Carmen), Hope Bellovich (Gary), Darin Wood (Sandy), Pat Campbell, Jim Barrow (Ramona), Brad Barrow (Pat), Diane Shewmaker (Floyd), and Joyce Brown; his brothers, Bill, Calvin and Charles Wood; his sister, Phyllis Sharp; his grandchildren, Derek and Dustin Wood, April Cuevas, Amanda Bellovich, Staci Campbell, Harrison, Carolyn, Adian and Lennon Wood, James and Brooke Barrow, Rob and Dale Shewmaker, Cindy Hyatt, and Craig Hinkle; and 12 great grandchildren.

There will be a Celebration of Life service at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 24, 2019, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.

Visitation will be after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
