Ron K. Beams

Ron K. Beams, Sr., 82, of Floyds Knobs, died Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Baptist Health-Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.  He was born March 4, 1937, in Louisville, Kentucky, to the late John M. Beams, Sr., and Leora Dones Beams.  He retired after 42 years from the engineering department at Ford KTP in Louisville, attended Smith Campground United Methodist Church in Laconia, was a member of the Corydon Pisgah Masonic Lodge #32 and the Scottish Rite in Evansville, was a reservist in the United States Air Force and was an avid golfer.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Charles “Jerry” Beams.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Cooper Beams; his son, Ronald K. Beams, Jr. (Theresa) of Lanesville, Indiana; his brother, John Beams, Jr., of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Brittany Beams of Lanesville, Indiana, and Dillion Beams of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, his great grandchildren, Elijah Russell and Ella Beams.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2019, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Richard Goodwin will officiate.  Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.

Visitation will be 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Masonic Services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Howard Faith, Regan Gusler, Richard Saiers, Jeff Levine, Dillion Beams, and R.V. Durrance. Honorary Pallbearers will be Troy Beams, John Beams and Chris Russell

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the American Cancer Society.
