Rodney Lee Lasley, 76, of Corydon, died Tuesday, January 1, 2019, at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville. He was born March 15, 1942, in Harrison County, Indiana, to Clara Belle Crone Lasley and the late Warren Lee Lasley. Before becoming disabled, he worked at National Security in Baltimore, Maryland, was a member of Potato Run United Methodist Church near Corydon and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his father; his son, Rodney Lasley, Jr.; his daughter, Autumn Lasley; his grandson, Nicholas Decker; his brother, Brent Lasley; and his sister, Karen Jensen.
Survivors include his mother, Clara Belle Lasley; his sons, Erik Gillespie and Timothy Lasley; his daughters, Kimberly Miller (Les) and Divinity Bailey; his brother, Norman Lasley; his sisters, Brenda Morford, Lillian Rhodes (David) and Mindy Sterling; 15 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2019, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Larry Hensley will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Saturday and after 10:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Pallbearers will be Kendrick Decker, Les Miller, Erik Gillespie, Timothy Lasley, Gage Kendrick and Charles Kendrick.
