Robert Warren Campbell, Sr., 79, of Corydon, died Thursday, July 20, 2017, at Harrison Springs Health Campus in Corydon. He was born October 11, 1937, in Middlesboro, Kentucky, to the late Elijah W. and Lottie Grub Campbell. He was a crane operator at Kosmosdale Cement Plant in Louisville and 5M Transportation (McBride’s Fleet) in New Albany, and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Old Capitol Aerie #2794 in Corydon.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Betty Sue Hermann and Alma L. Vaughn; and his brother, Charles Clayden Campbell.
Survivors include his son, Robert W. Campbell, Jr. (Deborah) of Corydon; his daughter, Debbie Campbell of Laconia; his grandchildren, Nicole Jacobs of Laconia, Chrissy Blackman of Elizabeth, Amanda Miller of Greenville, Indiana, Robert W. Campbell, III and Katiska McGuire both of Depauw; and his sister, June Anderson (Donald) of Pinellas Park, Florida.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 23, 2017, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Sam Swango will officiate. Burial will be in Old Goshen Cemetery near Laconia.
Visitation will be 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday and after 9:00 a.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Robert W. Campbell, III, Jeff Anderson, Chris Kingsley, Alec Carver, Gary Purvis, and Darrell Dickerson.
The family requests the expressions of sympathy be made to Old Goshen Cemetery.
