Melissa Kay “Missy” Dunaway, 50, of Corydon, died Thursday, June 6, 2019, at the Norton Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville. She was born December 13, 1968, in New Albany, Indiana. Missy worked for many years as a home health nurse.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Kay Board Behr; and her grandfather, Clarence Board.
Survivors include her husband, Tim Dunaway; her sons, Nevin Dunaway (Lindsay) and Brandon Dunaway (Rachel); her father, Wayne Behr; her grandmother, Irene Board; her grandchildren, Nolan Ables, Colton Dunaway, Kendall Dunaway, Addison Garza, Henley Dunaway, and Braycen Dunaway; and her brothers, Dustin, Stephen, and Russell Behr.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019, at First Capital Christian Church in Corydon. Rev. Randy Kirk will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the church.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made the Missy Dunaway Benefit Fund c/o First Harrison Bank.
Pallbearers will be Brandon, Nevin and Colton Dunaway, Rodney Cecil, Dustin Behr and Nolan Ables.
