Mary Jane McClanahan, 79, of Corydon, died Monday, April 22, 2019, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana. She was born January 23, 1940, in Corydon, to the late Harold Harry and Mary Audra Boone Rainbolt. She was a retired dispatcher at the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department in Corydon and was a member of Community of Hope Church of the Nazarene in Corydon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Allen McClanahan; her brother, Keith Rainbolt; and her brother in law, Ralph Davis.
Survivors include her son, Marty McClanahan (Debbie) of Corydon; her daughters, Alice Leffler (Steve) of Louisville, Leisa Bube (Jim) of Corydon, and Carol Londak (Jason) of Louisville; her brother, Harold Albert Rainbolt (Tula) of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her sisters, Martha Jean Davis of Union City, Missouri, and Nina Rothrock (Dale) of Depauw; her sister in law, Barbara Rainbolt of Palmyra; her grandchildren, Christian and Avi Leffler, Audrey Kochert (Dustin), Jacob McClanahan, Caitlin, Samuel and Isaac Bube, and Keira and Athen Londak; and her great grandson, Braxton Kochert.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 26, 2019, at Community of Hope Church of The Nazarene. Rev. Richard Goodwin will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the church.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Pallbearers will be Christian and Steve Leffler, Jacob and Jackie McClanahan, Jim Bube and Jason Londak. Honorary pallbearers will be Avi Leffler, and Samuel and Isaac Bube.
