Mary Ann Frakes Schenck, 55, of Corydon, died Monday, June 19, 2017, at her home near Corydon. She was born February 24, 1962, in Corydon, Indiana, to Cora Jane Conrad Frakes and the late Ralph Frakes. She was a director of purchasing at Squire Boone Caverns in New Albany, was a member and past chairperson of the Pink-A-Palooza Breast Cancer Event, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon and Phi Beta Psi Sorority.
She was preceded in death by her father and her aunt, Mary Ethel “Auntie” Frakes.
Survivors include her husband, Bernie E. Schenck, Jr.; her mother, Cora Jane Frakes of Corydon; her daughter, Amanda Uhl (Andrew) of Corydon; her grandsons, Lincoln Robert & William Russel Uhl; and her sister Becky Welsh (Jerry) of Memphis, Indiana.
Her funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon. Father Robert Hankee will officiate. Burial will be in Union Chapel Cemetery near Laconia.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. There will be a Phi Beta Psi memorial service at 6:00 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Pink-A-Palooza Breast Cancer Event in care of The American Cancer Society.
Pallbearers will be David Thornton, Sam Hawkins, Kevin Rogers, Kelsey Rogers, Charles "Chip" Meek, Adam Uhl and Brian Uhl
