Kay F. Owen, 74, of Corydon, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.  She was born December 28, 1942, in Harrison County, Indiana, to the late Howard W. and Nellie Mae Gleitz Kitterman.  She and her husband, Fred, were the owners of Owen’s Machinery, Inc. and she was a member of Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fredrick L. Owen; her sons, Michael D. and Troy A. Owen; and her sister, June Beanblossom.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Billie Jo Redden (Jeff); her grandchildren, Kayla Tackett (Kyle), Alex Michael Owen (Teresa), and Meredith Roberts (Paul); her great grandchildren, Ellie Owen, Ruger Roberts, Esmae and Willa Tackett, and Easton Roberts; and her sisters, Rachel Schwartz and Bonnie Jean Hayes.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Pastor Thomas Treadway will officiate.  Burial will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Corydon.

Visitation will be from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. Sunday, 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday, and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the American Cancer Society or Kindred Hospice.

Pallbearers will be Alex Owen, Danny Beanblossom, Kyle Tackett, Paul Roberts, Jeff Redden, and David Wood.  Honorary pallbearers will be Ruger Roberts and Larry Beanblossom.
