Karen Bockting, 62, died Wednesday, January 15, 2020, at her home near McDaniels, Kentucky. She was born January 6, 1958, in Louisville, to Henry and Virginia Houck Barth. She was retired from the JCPS Van Hoose Center in Louisville and the Old Capital Golf Club in Corydon.
Survivors include her husband, Dan Bockting; her parents of Corydon, her sons, Danny Bockting (Angela) of Fisherville, Kentucky and William Bockting (Christina) of Corydon; her brother, Earl Barth (Gloria) of Corydon; her sisters, Ginger Ridenour of Salem, Indiana and Shari Kintner (Virgil) of Corydon; and her grandchildren, Molly, Gracie, Brandon and Kaylee.
There will be a celebration of life from 12:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
