Julia Emma Miller, 98, of Corydon, died Friday, May 3, 2019, at The Villas of Guerin Woods in Georgetown, Indiana. She was born August 31, 1920, in Elizabeth, Indiana, to the late Lee W. Eckart, Sr. and Rebecca Plue Eckart Baker. She worked as a cook at Corydon Central High School for 26 years and attended the Corydon Church of the Nazarene. Julia, or Grandma Great as she was known by her family, was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest J. Miller; her great grandson, Logan Hall; her brothers, Lee Eckart, Jr. and George Eckart; her sister, Mary Smith; her son in law, Roger Crosier; and her daughter in law, Sharon Miller.
Survivors include her son, Roger E. Miller (Sherri) of Corydon; her daughters, Barbara A. Crosier and Nancy L. Biddle (Mike) both of Corydon; her sister, Ellen Mann of Jeffersonville, Indiana; her grandchildren, Jake Biddle (Shana), Brent Miller (Amy), Greg Hall (Dana), and Jeff Hall; her great grandchildren, Ellie, Sloane and Kennedy Biddle, Molly, Ben and Jack Miller, Ashley Nix (Clayton), Kylie Albin (Steven), Meghan Van Fossen (Evan), and Matthew, Mason and Myles Hall; and her great great grandchildren, Ellie and Maryn Nix, Logan Blair Albin, and Harper and Henry Van Fossen.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Andy Hansen will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Jake Biddle, Brent Miller, and Jeff, Greg, Matthew, Mason and Myles Hall.
