Jerry Ray Pepper, 74, of Corydon, Formerly of Louisville, died Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at his home near Corydon. He was born September 27, 1943, in Greensburg, Kentucky, to the late Crawford Pepper and Lorraine Akins Murphy. He was a retired carpenter at LG&E in Louisville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sundie Smothers.
Survivors include his son, Earl Ray Pepper of Corydon; his daughters, Judy Cunningham (Roy) of Corydon, Linda Pepper of Corydon, and Amanda Pepper of Columbia, Kentucky; his brother, Norman Pepper of Louisville; his sisters, Sondra Wright (Kenny) of Louisville and Sandy Combs (Ray) of Hodgenville, Kentucky; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Steve McAfee will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Corydon.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be William Wilt, Mike Wemes, Ray Sanders, Quin and August Powell, Gary Sieg, and Tevin and Camdon Harvey.
