Jean Brunner, 90, of Corydon, died Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon. She was born September 19, 1928, in New Amsterdam, Indiana, to the late Henry and Elsie Bottles Sonner. She was a retired Superintendent of Postal Operations at the Corydon Post Office, and was a member of Heidelberg United Methodist Church near Corydon where she was very involved with various volunteer efforts in Harrison County and with the Heidelberg Quilters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William A. “Bill” Brunner; her grandson, Ronnie Brunner, II; and her brothers, Wilbur & Donald Sonner.
Survivors include her sons, Ronnie Brunner (Sandy), Roy Lee Brunner, Dale E. Brunner, and Ray Alan Brunner all of Corydon, and David A. Brunner (Veronica) of Denton, Texas; her daughter, Anna Jean Wiseman of Corydon; seven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, and ten great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2019, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Rev. Rob Pryor will officiate. Burial will be in Heidelberg Cemetery near Corydon.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to 4:34 Ministries at Heidelberg United Methodist Church.
Pallbearers will be Noah Brunner, Ronnie Dirck, Christopher Kruer, Jeremy Ledford, R.J. Snyder, and Jeff Thomas.
