James Kenneth “Jim” Daily, 73, of Corydon, died Monday, July 17, 2017, at Baptist Health-Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.  He was born July 21, 1943, in Corydon, to the late William Howard and Hazel Hudson Daily.  He was a forklift operator at Daramic in Corydon, was formerly employed at Hobart Appliance Service in Louisville, attended Corydon Church of Christ, was a member of the American Legion, and was a veteran of the United States Army.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Ronnie Daily.

Survivors include his wife, Vickie S. DeVore Daily; his sons, James Kent Daily of New Salisbury, Indiana, Darryl Daily (Leah) of Corydon, and Rick Daily (Dawn) of New Salisbury; his stepson, Brad DeVore (Megan) of Corydon; his stepdaughter, Brittany DeVore of Corydon; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 22, 2017, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Terry Kinser will officiate.  Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Corydon.

Visitation will be 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 9:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Gary Heilig, Melvin Bye, Brian Striegel, Marc Smith, Logan Daily, and Jerry Gudgeon.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
