James D. "Jim" Dunn

James Daniel “Jim” Dunn II, 81, of Central, died Friday, February 23, 2018, at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center in Louisville.  He was born March 15, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late James Daniel Sr. and Thelma Rose McCutcheon Dunn.  He was a retired foreman at Whittenburg Construction in Louisville, was a member of the LiUNA Local 576 in Louisville, Lincoln Hills Christian Church in Corydon, and the American Legion Post #42 in Floyds Knobs, Indiana , and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Betty Goldman.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Sellus Houchens Dunn; his son, James Daniel Dunn III (Karen) of Palmyra, Indiana; his daughters, Robin Christine Dunn Berry (Gregg) of Mauckport, Indiana, Amy Suzanne Rhodes (Jason) of Palmyra, and Brenda Poe (Randy) of Houma, Louisiana; his sister, Dorothy Fouts of New Albany, Indiana; his grandchildren, Jamie Sieg, Kaylea Norman (Josh), Mitchel Holton, Cameron Rhodes, Keevin and Cassie Sakai, Jamie Poe (Sandra), and Brandi Rodriguez (Ryan); and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at Lincoln Hills Christian Church.  Rev. Webster Oglesby will officiate.  Burial will be in Blue River Chapel Cemetery near Corydon.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to Lincoln Hills Christian Church or Hosparus Health of Southern Indiana.
