Hilda F. Fisher

Hilda Faye Fisher, 91, of Mauckport, died Saturday, February 24, 2018, at The Villas of Guerin Woods in Georgetown, Indiana.  She was born December 3, 1926, in Mauckport, to the late Raymond and Bessie Miller Byerley.  She was a retired rural mail carrier, was a member of Hyland Christian Church near Mauckport, was the former chairman of the Heth Washington PTA, and she loved to attend activities with her family where she was always interested with passing on traditions.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Warren F. Fisher; her son, Neal A. Fisher; her grandson, Glen Garmon; and her brother, Wilbur Byerley.

Survivors include her daughters, Phyllis Garmon (Charles) of New Albany, Indiana and Anita Stojakovich (Paul) of Cincinnati, Ohio; her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Fisher of Mauckport; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Brother Vince Garmon will officiate.  Burial will be in Hyland Cemetery near Mauckport.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to The Villas of Guerin Woods or First Capital Christian Church.

Pallbearers will be Shawn Garmon, Chad Stojakovich, Frank Fisher, Matt Nolan, Eric Croner, Nate Baughman, Luke Garmon and Evan Garmon.  Honorary pallbearers will be Miriam Fisher, Rachel Nolan, Veronica Croner, Megan Baughman, Marissa Garmon and Jessie Garmon.
