Frances M. Slayton, 70, of Corydon, died Friday, July 28, 2017, at Baptist Health-Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana.  She was born November 5, 1946, in Edmonson County, Kentucky, to the late Jess William and Edith Kime French.  She was employed as a security guard at Horseshoe Casino near Elizabeth, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Slayton and three sisters.

Survivors include her son, Mark Slayton; her daughter, Jessica Smith; her brother, John French and her sister Jenell.

Funeral services will be private at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
