Ed Wallace, Sr., 105, of Corydon, died Monday, July 24, 2017, at his home in New Salisbury.  He was born February 8, 1912, in Cuba, Alabama, to the late Annie and Jim Wallace, Jr..  He was a retired coal miner in Harlan County, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ella Mae Sims Wallace; his daughters, Fannie Mae Snyder, Annie Mae Wallace and Janie Bell Simmons Morris; and 10 siblings.

Survivors include his son, Eddie Wallace, Jr. of Corydon; his sisters, Katherine Walker, Maerene Hines, Annie Williams, Jesse Johnson and Jennie Eades; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July, 29, 2017, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Rev. Robert Watkins and Rev. Marrissa Kendrick will officiate.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.

Visitation will be after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to St. Paul’s A.M.E. Church in Corydon.
