Douglas Glynn Ayers, Sr., 64, of Corydon, died Saturday, September 28, 2019, at his home in Corydon. He was born October 15, 1954, in Corydon, to the late Edward Archer Ayers, Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth Taylor Ayers. He was retired from Essroc in Sellersburg, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Anthony Ayers; his brothers, Mitchell Ayers and Edward Ayers, Jr.; and his sister, Lillie Beauchamp.
Survivors include his sons, Douglas Glynn Ayers, Jr. (Brandy) of Corydon and Adrian DeShawn Ayers of Jeffersonville, Indiana; his brothers, Charles Ayers (Darlene) and Donnie Ayers (Stephanie); his sister, Barbara Thompson (Roger); his sister-in-law, Barbara Ann Ayers of Jeffersonville, Indiana; his grandchildren, Leandra Marie Ayers, Antonio Noah Numair Ayers, Hadrian Valentino Ayers, Jayda Brynn Ayers, and Kiyah Rainn Ayers; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 4, 2019, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Brother Gary Valentine will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. Thursday and after 10:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Josh, Noah and Matt Ayers, Christopher Thompson, Ronnie Lofton, Kerry Timberlake, Mark Sullivan, Michael Ray Beauchamp, Marvin Beauchamp, and Charles Beauchamp.
