Douglas A. Woertz

Douglas A. Woertz, 66, of Corydon, died Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana.  He was born March 1, 1952, in New Albany, to the late John William and Margaret Louise Davis Woertz.  He was a retired rural mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Corydon.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald Davis Woertz.

Survivors include his wife, Gwen Williams Woertz; his son, Matthew Woertz of Corydon; his daughter, Beth Vigne (Tom) of Whitestown, Indiana; his sister, Cheryl Quebbeman (Rick) of Lanesville, Indiana; his sister in law, Rose Ann Woertz of Elizabeth, Indiana; and his grandchildren, Ashlyn and Max Vigne and Lane Woertz.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2018, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.  Father David Kocka will officiate.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
